Community workshops, where participants mapped their memories, dreams and personal geographies, inspired this mural for the outdoor stage at Santa Fe and Ash. It was created a few months after the mural I led in 2010, Waiting in the Wings, was removed at a location a few blocks away (look for a reference to that mural inside the “doorway” within the new one). Many thanks to mural assistant, Karla Prickett and the many volunteers who helped us paint. The project was supported by Salina Arts and Humanities and the Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission.
